Body goal dress. Achieved! Haven’t fit into this since I was 19 (for those of you playing along at home, I turn 27 in a couple of months). My main aim with exercise has been to find a positive stress release and way to control my anxiety, and I’m happy to say that it has been working for the most part. Last year I was so unhappy and extremely anxious because I was so self conscious; it has been a big lesson to not interpret other people’s actions as a reflection of my self worth. /me me me

Oscar Wilde - The Picture Of Dorian GrayThis week’s reading. For a long time I’ve wanted to read this book, I started reading it at uni as part of my course work back in 2004 but such is the nature of those classes that you have limited time to complete texts. I saw a new copy of it come in at work, in large print format at that, and decided I’d finally conquer it. I must say, reading large print feels like my eyeballs are on a luxury holiday or something haha especially with the language that these classic books use, having larger print gives you a bit of a reprieve from the dense nature of it. I absolutely adored this. Perfection in novel form. Witty banter, suspense and lush descriptions. I love the fact that you really have to throw yourself in 100% to read it, because if you’re doing it half heartedly (well, if you’re anything like me) you’ll find yourself re-reading passages over and over before they sink in. I was completely engulfed in this and am pretty sad it’s come to an end. There are so many aspects of it that I found so easy to relate to - and it was published in 1890. Such a brilliant piece of literature <3333

The past could always be annihilated. Regret, denial, or forgetfulness could do that. But the future was inevitable.

Me binge eating on the weekend.

Me binge eating on the weekend.

Oh man, today at work during my baby rhymetime session I was finishing up with “If You’re Happy And You Know It” and this little toddler that’s been coming since he was a baby was standing on his feet doing the actions all on his own, guessing the next move before I even got to it. It was pretty fucking rad to see the progress of a kid like that, I was trying not to beam the whole way through the song. Times like that I really love my job, and people say public libraries are redundant. Piss off!

You’re still going to get criticized, so you might as well do whatever the fuck you want.
